Bill has Alzheimer’s Disease and is slowly losing the ability to do the things he has loved to do in the past. Things like camping, travelling, reading, woodwork, gardening to name a few. This is very frustrating and depressing for him.
In his prime Bill was a very good and successful swimmer both in the pool and the surf club where he was chosen in the state team.
Recently, we approached Harbour At Home which enabled Bill to access swimming sessions at Coffs Olympic Pool through his Home Care Package.
It is marvellous. Bill now benefits from the regular exercise the swimming provides, but more importantly, he benefits from the sense of pride and achievement that he can still swim!’
